I studied at Nottingham University and obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Geography. After qualifying I worked on a building site as a labourer for two years.
- I then commenced training to become a chartered surveyor – via distance learning at the College of Estate Management, Reading.
- In 1998 I was elected as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). I have run my own practice since 1999.
- In 2012 I was awarded a distinction in a Master’s degree, ‘Conservation of the Historic Environment’.
- I managed two offices for a large independent surveying practice in the South East for nine years and was chairman of the organisation for two years. During this time I have always undertaken building surveys, party wall duties and defect analysis.
Having undertaken Party Wall work since its inception in 1997, I have an extensive knowledge of the Act and its implications.
Whether you are a building owner undertaking works or have received a Party Wall Notice from your neighbour, I am here to assist to ensure that either the building works can be undertaken with a minimum of inconvenience or alternatively I can ensure that your property is safeguarded.

I look forward to hearing from you,
